The Plot:
Birdwell
International, a global manufacturer of cat toys, is celebrating its
100th anniversary with a lavish dinner. The grande dame Chairwoman of
the Board, Leona Birdwell is there, along with her ne’er-do-well
stepson Crispin, his ex-stripper fiancé “Easy” Pickens, her aging,
addled bodyguard Cliff Magnus and her harried personal assistant Joanna
Vark. There’s intrigue afoot as Mrs. Birdwell’s now-bankrupt former
competitor, Drew Billingham arrives and a vengeful reporter, Donnatella
Stringer, pops up in the dining room. When Mrs. Birdwell drops dead
during the soup course, everyone’s a suspect, even the restaurant’s
manager, Kitsey Frost. As the local authorities flounder, the audience
is deputized to join the investigation. Who killed Leona Birdwell? The
answer will shock and amuse you in this evening of tongue-in-cheek,
over-the-top fun!
